Police say they have arrested a man known as the “pope of pot” whose drug ring sold about $40,000 worth of marijuana a day through a toll-free number: 1-800-WANT-POT. Michael Cesar, 48, was arrested Wednesday with seven alleged accomplices after narcotics officers raided an apartment, said police spokesman Scott Bloch.
