Siamak Taghaddos and David Hauser started GotVMail while in the undergraduate entrepreneurial program at Babson College in 2003. With money borrowed from family, they developed a virtual phone system designed for helping entrepreneurs. In 2007, GotVMail placed #66 on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies List after it achieved sales growth of nearly 2000%.

Today, the Massachusetts-based company serves more than 50,000 companies with more than 150,000 employees. GotVMail offers both toll free and local phone numbers.

Features offered by GotVMail include custom greetings, multiple extensions, voice studio, dial-by-name directory, custom on-hold music, call forwarding, call screening, voicemail and fax, distribution lists, live call transfer, conference calling, virtual calling card, online call reports, fax on demand, and call routing extensions.

Plans range from $9.95 to $99.95 per month with limited minutes. Fees for additional minutes range from 4.8 cents to 7.4 cents. Activation fees are $25 for all plans except the $99.95 plan. One-time fees are charged for 800 area code numbers and vanity numbers.

GotVMail has partnered with Fed-Ex and the National Association of Realtors and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Fox News, CNN, and Entrepreneur magazine.
