TeleCenter was started in New Jersey in 1992 by CEO and founder Paul Champaneria of the COA Network. The Piscataway-based company has grown into a web-based telecommunications system serving 50,000 customers.

TeleCenter has its own internal staff of IT professionals, software developers, web designers, business analysts, quality analysts, marketing professionals and customer service reps. In addition, they maintain their own Data Center; nothing is outsourced.
TeleCenter provides toll free phone numbers–currently they do not offer local numbers. The company charges a flat rate monthly fee of $34.95 for unlimited incoming calls plus a 5.9 cent per minute charge for outgoing or forwarded calls. Activation fees are charged for toll free 800 numbers, vanity numbers, and for numbers transferred from another carrier. TeleCenter offers ten extensions included in the monthly fee and charges $10 per month for each additional five extensions.
Telecenter features include ad tracker, recorded message greetings, call block, call screening, caller id, custom on-hold music, detailed call reports, dial by name directory, email faxes, greeting only mailbox extension, live call forwarding, live call transfer, message taking mailbox extension, outbound call blast, online account management, message notification, and virtual PBX options. TeleCenter uses fiber optic connections provided by Verizon and TelCove.
