Onebox, a subsidiary of j2 Global Communications, Inc. provides a comprehensive menu of virtual phone services.  The Virtual PBX service lets small companies operate much like large enterprises with outsourced telecommunication services. Onebox headquarters is located in Illinois.

Onebox Virtual Office does not charge set up fees and there no required contracts. Phone numbers assigned to customers by Onebox are not owned by the customer. Onebox charges to port in or out any toll free number.

Virtual office system plans range in price from $49 to $79 per month. Each plan offers a variety of features and allowable extensions. The number of voicemail and fax messages are limited within each plan. Charges will be levied if messages exceed the limits.

Features include voicemail, email, personalized greetings, call forwarding, call transfers, auto attendants, on hold music, conference calling, and directory look-up. Onebox encourages the use of toll free phone numbers as part of their business systems.

J2 Global was started in 1995 by Jaye Mueller and Jack Reiely. J2 Global acquired Onebox in 2004. In May, 2008 J2 Global announced their expansion of Onebox into Mexico. The company’s CEO is Hemi Zucker.
