800 Meltdown Information

Can toll free numbers be completely diminished? With virtually all toll free numbers having been used by two or more persons/businesses already, this is very likely. The only thing keeping the system going is that people are releasing old toll free numbers. Once released, a toll free number is left dormant for several months and then re-released to the system for someone else to grab. Many people release a toll free not knowing that they are more likely to come back for another one in the future. If people stop releasing their toll frees and hold on to them, or worse yet, if they take on more than one and hold on to them, it could cause a toll free meltdown.
