Since we mentioned the 844 area code toll free phone numbers two days ago in this blog, we have been receiving inquiries about this coveted pool of unused toll free phone numbers, currently held by the FCC for future use. As of this time, we do not know exactly when they will be released to the public for use, however we expect it will be within the next year or so. What we do know, given the growing demand for toll free numbers, is that is will likely be as a big a success as the new 855 area code numbers.

Last spring, we began to notice new 855 numbers listed for large corporations and small companies nationwide and it continues as the summer nears end. These 855 toll free phone numbers are being used for small businesses and for large corporations in every state in the nation. They are as popular as we suspected they would be. The upcoming 844 numbers, we predict, will be equally as successful.

Still awaiting word on the release of the 844 toll free telephone area code series. These numbers are expected to be released on the heels of the 855 numbers, put forth last fall by the FCC. If reports are accurate, the new 855 toll area code numbers could be released as early as tomorrow. Be prepared and use an established toll free service provider.
