800 Numbers Popularity Ever-Increasing

With the recent introduction of the popular 855 toll free area codes, our industry is quickly recognizing that consumers and business people are now, more than ever, recognizing and using toll free phone numbers with all five pre-fixes (area codes). Toll free service’s popularity is ever-increasing and that trend will continue.

Toll Free Sales on the Up and Up

Federal agencies have been cracking down on the illegal sale of 800 numbers and the hoarding, or stockpiling, of numbers by service providers and subscribers. This oversight is intended to help free up some of the numbers for new subscribers. Get some additional information here.

Federal government restrictions on gift cards now requires the cards to include a toll free number for consumers to call regarding any limitations or fees associated with the cards.
