Is it irrational to begin rationing toll free number out? Some think not; in fact, some think that a toll free number should only be “not available” to another person if it’s getting use. It’s not likely that the day will come where you can lose your toll free number for non-usage but it’s possible… Read more here.

Getting toll free service has ever been easier. Service providers assign and reserve numbers off the database for their customers on a first-come, first-served basis. To get started, subscribers simply contact a service provider, find a suitable vanity number or numerical sequence, and then sign on for service. The process can’t get much simpler than that.

It’s been a common practice for some time now to get a toll free number for personal use. With businesses snatching them up it’s easy to see why people that need toll frees for adoption, children, parents, grandparents, etc are worried that they won’t be able to get them.
