Do your research. 1-800 telephone numbers are available from large phone companies and from federally approved toll free service providers, Responsible Organizations. These smaller companies have the same access to the database of available phone numbers as AT&T and Verizon. However, service fees and features can vary greatly so the best thing we can do is to advise subscribers to research several toll free providers before signing up. subscribers can sometimes get better deals through the boutique providers.

Where have all the 800 numbers gone? Good question. the answer is that many providers have stopped offering actual 800 numbers because they are so difficult to obtain. There are still a few providers that offer the 800 area code because some businesses just can’t do without…

Ringcentral.com has been touting lately that, by using the ringcentral mobile services, you can turn your iPad into a phone. Although this may technically be possible; users of the Ipad have said that Ringcentral’s claims in their marketing are not all what it appears to be.
With a high monthly price (paid to ringcentral) to turn your iPad into a phone, coupled with choppy service that rendered the Ipad phone by ringcentral basically useless – Businesses are not seeing the benefit in using Ringcentral on the iPad. With one business owner saying that this is a marketing gimmick by Ringcentral.
According to the apple store, the ringcentral mobile app recieved an average of 3 of 5 star rating by it’s users, which is basically graded a “D”

According to regulations enacted in 1997 by the Federal Communications Commission, toll free phone numbers cannot be sold. These rules were approved after complaints poured in about price-gouging for catchy vanity numbers and popular numeric sequences. The FCC reports that anyone caught attempting to sell or broker an 800 number faces significant fines. You can obtain a toll free number from an actual provider but you still want to be careful – many websites nowadays are fly-by-night. You want to make sure the company you choose has been around for while and doesn’t sound like they’re doing business from their kitchen table – A woman recorded her call to a supposed toll free company and the guy on the other end sounded like he was in the bathroom eating a sandwich.
